Diesel motorhome rental questions
Do I need a special license to drive a 45ft diesel pusher?
No. In most US states a regular Class D license is enough for RVs under 26,001 lbs for personal use. Our 35-45ft pushers are registered as RVs. We provide 90-min training, mirrors + backup camera, and you can add a second driver free. If nervous, start with View 24D (26ft) or book delivery + setup.
What's DEF and how often do I fill it?
Diesel Exhaust Fluid is a $12 jug from any truck stop. One 13-gal DEF tank lasts ~3,000-4,000 miles. We send you full, dashboard warns at 500 mi remaining. Just pour, no tools needed. We show you in handover video.
Can I drive in national parks and boondock?
Yes! View 24D fits all parks (26ft). 35ft Palazzo fits 90% of parks. 45ft pushers best for private campgrounds with 50A + big rig sites. All units have generators, large tanks (90 gal fresh, 60 grey) and solar for 2-4 days off-grid.
How does fuel cost compare to gas RVs?
Diesel pushers get 8.5-11 MPG vs 6-7 MPG gas, plus diesel has more energy. On a 1,500-mi trip you save $180-$320 in fuel and gain 2x range (fewer stops). Generator runs on main diesel tank — no extra propane charges.
Are pets, kids and car seats allowed?
Absolutely. Pets welcome ($95 deep-clean fee, 2 pets max). All units have seatbelts at dinette + sofa for car seats, bunkhouse models sleep 6-8. We provide high chairs, booster and dog crates on request.
What if something breaks on the road?
24/7 line + Coach-Net nationwide towing. 90% issues solved by phone (breaker reset, slide resync). If immobilized, we dispatch mobile tech within 4h or swap unit within 24h and refund downtime 2x.
